    Stroller Guidelines

The Duck Waddle is a family affair, and we love having your kids join us! If you will be participating with a stroller, please follow these guidelines:

    • Line up with other runners who are about your speed, keeping to the right at all times.
    • Competitive runners may line up closer to the front of the pack.
    • Non-competitive runners should line up in the middle of the pack.
    • Walkers should line up in the back of the pack.

    Dog Guidelines

We are excited to welcome our four-legged friends to the Duck Waddle this year! If you are running with your furry friends, please follow these guidelines:

    • All dogs must be well-socialized and friendly with people and dogs of all sizes. Race organizers reserve the right to remove any dog who is behaving aggressively towards people or other dogs.
    • All dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations.

    Dog Etiquette

    • Keep your dog on a leash and under your control at all times. Leashes should be less than four feet long and non-retractable. (If using a retractable leash, please lock it at four feet.)
    • Clean up after your dog both in the park and along the race course. Trash cans will be available at the start/finish line and at the aid station.
    • Line up with other runners who are about your speed, keeping to the right at all times.
      • Competitive runners with dogs who are experienced 5K runners may line up closer to the front of the pack.
      • Non-competitive runners with experienced dogs may line up in the middle of the pack.
      • Walkers and runners with inexperienced dogs should line up in the back of the pack.
    • Pull over to the side of the course if you and your dog need to stop for a drink or if your dog needs to use nature’s facilities.
    • Limit two dogs per human.

    Course Information

The 5K course begins and ends in Finley River park. Runners will leave the park through the south entrance, running north on Riverside Road to Greenbridge Road. When they reach the approximate midway point, runners will turn around and head back to the park. Runners will enter the north park entrance, run past the soccer fields, and finish on Finley River Parkway.
